Trying to Short Change the Troops

 May 27th, 2011

The unbelievable pile of human feces that currently occupies the White House is at it again.
On 17 August, 2009 I wrote a column exposing Obama’s idea for wanting the troops to carry their own insurance to cover their combat injuries and the fact that retired four star general Eric Shinseki who was Secretary of Veterans Affairs didn’t seem to have any objections but blew it off by saying: “it was just a consideration as a way to increase revenue as part of next year’s budget, but no decision has been made yet.”
Obama complained at the time saying: “Look it is an all volunteer force and nobody made these guys go to war, they had to have known and accepted the risk. Now they are whining about bearing the cost of their choice? It doesn’t compute.”
“I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in it’s history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nations deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”
This information came from a syndicated columnist of the McClatchey newspaper organization at the time.
Fast forward 27 May, 2011, according to Reuters,
The Obama Administration now wants to cut pay and benefits of our men and women in uniform and their families, even those deployed overseas and in combat.
The defense secretary Robert Gates revealed in a speech at the American Enterprise Institute that the administration was considering cutting military pay and benefits, saying that the strategic review may require politicians to look at other uncomfortable choices including pay scales for service members.
If you jackasses cut one penny from a service members pay and family allowances before you cut your own pay and perks, you have no idea what kind of a whirlwind you will reap.
Quite frankly, you would have a better chance of sandpapering a wildcat’s butt in a telephone booth without getting scratched.
A few days ago in a previous column, I said that it is almost to the point where using civil language will no longer suffice to describe the churning in my gut that this inept bumbling administration is creating at every turn, well it is here, this is the straw that just broke the camel’s back.
TO ALL 545 OF YOU SONS O BITCHES
Barry soetoro or whatever name you are using this week.
435 members of congress.
100 members of the senate.
9 members of the supreme court.
Clean up this mess or resign and go home, but do not think for one minute that you can stab our troops in the back and survive.
You will all become unemployed very swiftly by one method or another.
IF THIS DOESN’T WAKE YOU UP AMERICA
NOTHING WILL AND YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET

  1. I agree with you wholeheartedly and am disgusted
at the complicity and lack of concern on the part of people who should be leading the charge against these proposals. Our whole government, even our military leadership, seems to have abandoned the principles of honor, morality, and freedom that made this country great. I hope the tea party stays united and registers its dissatisfaction with the way this country is being decimated.

  2. The statement attributed to President Obama (“Look it is an all volunteer force and nobody made these guys go to war, they had to have known and accepted the risk. Now they are whining about bearing the cost of their choice? It doesn’t compute.”) is pretty outrageous – if true.

But I am not ready to believe an allegation like that without a verifiable source. When and where did he say that? Is there a video of him saying that?

Absent such verifiable attribution, I have to assume it is an invention.

What can you provide to support the calim?
